Sheeja’s love for art started in her collage days. As a self-thought artist, she explored paintings on glass surfaces in her initial days and it’s been an amazing journey with color’s , the joy to discover paint in the years since her graduation.

She is completely captivated by abstract art and the boundless territory it allows her create. She loves to use her palette knife and paints to create abstract beauty on textured surfaces.

From the silky texture of the paints to the rough texture of stone, she uses texture to add expression, depth to her paintings. She creates different textures in her art by mixing sand, stones, saw dust, straw etc. and enjoys experimenting with different materials to create new and fresh textures for her paintings to enhance the feel and contribute to the mood.

Sheeja has done several very successful shows in the past and has exhitited her work in numerous group exhibitions. More than 150 of Sheeja’s artwork found their new homes across multiple countries in the past 24 months. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her family and the seasons, color’s , natural beauty of this place continues to inspire her paintings.
